Germany: Pfund, Zentner

I remember that "Pfund" (0,5 kg) and Zentner (50 kg) were still used frequently, up to the 80s or 90s, but then some legal proceeding seems to have forbidden that usage? However, some people still order a "Zweipfünder" for a large bread in the bakery (1 kg bread loaf). Should this be mentionned in the Germany section? -- Traut (talk) 09:54, 5 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know about the legal proceeding how and when Pfund/Zenter bekame illegal. May have been at the same time when kW instead of PS (Pferdestärken, HP=Horse Power) had to be used. But there are plenty of sources for Zweipfünder, such as [1] and [2]. --Traut (talk) 05:59, 1 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
