Incorrect info
[edit]Fixed: Writer states in 1st paragraph - "When he retired in 2011, it was the first time since 1947 that there were no members of the Kennedy family in public office.[2]"
This is not true.
Bobby Shriver, grandson on Joseph P and Rose Kennedy, like Patrick, held elective office until 2012, at which point Joe Kennedy the 3rd became a Congressman from Mass. Depending when Shriver's term actually ended and Joe Kennedy III's began in Congress there has never been a moment when a Kennedy has not held elective office since 1947.

- Thank you. I changed the WP article from the generic "public office" to instead use United States Congress to match what the cited source had used. --Marc Kupper|talk 18:04, 9 August 2016 (UTC)

Removed section on rape accusation against William Kennedy Smith
[edit]I was wondering if the {{POV check}} hat notice from April 2014 was still valid. A quick scan showed the article was neutral until I got to the Personal issues and incidents section. I've removed the following from that section:
- ===Rape accusation against William Kennedy Smith===
- During Easter weekend in 1991, Kennedy and his father were in Palm Beach, Florida, along with Patrick's cousin, William Kennedy Smith. At Au Bar, Patrick met a 27-year-old Testas Restaurant waitress, Michelle Cassone, and Smith met another woman, Patricia Bowman. Both women returned with the Kennedys to the family's beachfront retreat, where a series of events took place that resulted in Smith being charged with raping Bowman. The prosecution alleged that the three Kennedys collaborated to cover up this alleged crime. In a widely covered trial, Smith was acquitted.[1]<!--at August 20, 2009, source doesn't support settlement language of THIS incident.-->
The removal is because it's not about Patrick J. Kennedy (the subject of this article). It was based on a claim by a prosecutor during a criminal trial that Patrick J. Kennedy was one of the people involved in a cover-up of a crime allegedly committed by someone else. As Patrick J. Kennedy was not the person being prosecuted he never had a chance to defend or present his story in regards to the prosecutor's claim. There's also a note, added via an HTML comment "August 20, 2009, source doesn't support settlement language of THIS incident". The reference used is no longer available and so could not see if it mentioned Patrick J. Kennedy at all. --Marc Kupper|talk 17:53, 9 August 2016 (UTC)

Image needs fixing
[edit]When I click to enlarge the infobox pic, it flashes in for less than a second & then shows nothing but the proverbial red X (only on Wikipedia, it's a white X). Have no idea how to fix something like that because I've never seen it happen on here before. Can someone look into it? TYVM. ScarletRibbons (talk) 06:29, 12 June 2019 (UTC)
