Not done: Just 6 of her 48 credits are in Tamil per Aishwarya Rai filmography. That is not 'primarily' by definition (adverb for the most part). -- Ab207 (talk) 14:30, 15 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  1. It is reasonably well written.
    a (prose, spelling, and grammar):
Rai has an elder brother Aditya who is an engineer in the merchant navy. Her film Dil Ka Rishta (2003) was co-produced by her brother and co-written by her mother.
Paragraphs 3 and 4 under "Early life and education" can be merged as the former is only a sentence long.
Restructured it.
In 1999, Rai began dating Bollywood actor Salman Khan; their relationship was often reported in media until the couple separated in 2002. She cited "abuse (verbal, physical and emotional), infidelity and indignity" on the part of Khan as reasons for ending the relationship.[208][209] Rai then had a romantic relationship with actor Vivek Oberoi that ended in 2005.[210]
In 1991, Rai won an international supermodel contest which led to her being featured in the American edition of Vogue magazine.[11][13] In 1993, she gained wide public recognition for her appearance in a Pepsi commercial with actors Aamir Khan and Mahima Chaudhry. Her dialogue "Hi, I'm Sanjana" became popular.[13][14] In the 1994 Miss India pageant, Rai won second place behind Sushmita Sen and was crowned Miss India World, also winning the titles Miss Catwalk, Miss Miraculous, Miss Photogenic, Miss Perfect Ten and Miss Popular.
She continued to model until she became an actress.[15][21] Prior to participating in beauty pageants, Rai had received four offers to star in movies but she "decided to participate in Miss India to step back from the film industry for a bit. If I hadn't taken part in Miss India, Raja Hindustani would have been my first film."
I suggest that "Rai" not be mentioned in successive sentences and be replaced with pronouns such as "she" and "her" for a neater prose.
While it is not a policy, I took the advice and implemented it only in cases where the meaning of the passage would not be affected.
In 2004, Time chose Rai Bachchan as one of the world's most-influential people and she also appeared on the cover of its 2003 Asia edition.[247][248] She has appeared on television chat shows such as Late Show with David Letterman,[249] and was the first Bollywood personality to appear on Oprah's segment "Women Across the Globe".
On 2 January 2005, she was the subject of a 60 Minutes profile, which said: "at least according to thousands of Web sites, Internet polls and even Julia Roberts", Rai Bachchan was "the world's most beautiful woman". Avoid "On 2 January 2005,..." at the beginning of the sentence.as the article needs to follow WP: Proseline.
Done.

b (MoS for lead, layout, word choice, fiction, and lists):

  1. It is factually accurate and verifiable.
    a (references):
References 252, 276, 278, 279, and 290 need to be corrected according to MOS:TITLECONFORM due to inconsistent capitalisation in their article titles.
Done.

b (citations to reliable sources):
c (OR):

Ref no. 74 appears to involve original research, similar to some PDFs cited in the article. Additionally, please verify that there is no location listed as "Kolkota," as mentioned in ref no. 210, as it does not correspond to any known place.
d (copyvio and plagiarism):
"Kolkota" appears to be a misspelling of "Kolkata". I removed all locations (except for books) per MOS:LINKONCE anyway.
There is only one PDF cited in the article and that's the one concerning the movie Raincoat winning the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Hindi. You should scroll down to page 68; this is not original research.
Ref no. 74 does not involve original research either. Open the sources and read them first please; these are the direct quotes:
For today's non-Bengali reader, the story of a lovely, forced-to-be-austere widow's cloying friendship with a girl of her age, her passion for the friend's husband — and husband's friend — may seem dated
and the beauteous orphan and young widow houseguest Binodini (Aishwarya Rai)
In "Chokher Bali", Ghosh has tried to remain true to the Tagorean spirit, the zeitgeist setting (1900s), and the medium.
An alarmingly high Earwig score exceeding 40 percent.
Most of it was due to a single paragraph adapted from this source which was already in quotation marks. I cut it down though, simply because it was excessive. The current score is 34.6%.
  1. It is broad in its coverage.
    a (major aspects):
    b (focused):
  2. It follows the neutral point of view policy.
    Fair representation without bias:
I believe it's worth considering whether the media's criticism and praise for her overall work and life could be made more prominent. I'm content with the way everything has been laid out in the article's present version and would like to know from you as well before passing this aspect.
Well, the article discusses both her hits and flops and I recently expanded the "Impact and reception" section. Can more be added? Potentially yes, but I do not think it would serve any purpose other than bloating the page. If you have any specific feedback on the existing content, feel free to share it. I'm glad that you're content with the overall set up.
  1. It is stable.
    No edit wars, etc.:
  2. It is illustrated by images, where possible and appropriate.
a (images are tagged and non-free images have fair use rationales):
b (appropriate use with suitable captions):
Well, it's her article, so you could improve it by excluding her name from every caption.
Done in cases where the removal of her name would not disrupt the flow of the caption and/or its grammar
@MSincccc: Is there anything else that you would like to add here? To me it seems that we're almost done
Captions are all satisfactory. I've reviewed and approved this aspect. However, there are several images lacking a free license. I plan to revisit them, but I welcome your input if you have any. Additionally, I intend to conduct a spot check this weekend, preferably tomorrow.
All of the images are free. This one, this one and this one have been made available for free by the author himself. This one is the work of the Government of India who have made it available for using, adapting and publishing similar to their other works. The rest are the works of Bollywood Hungama who have made their original work available for free on the Commons.

  • The article is sufficiently long, well-sourced, and highly presentable. The only suggestion I would offer before confirming is to change "female actor" to "actress" and remove "Bollywood actress" from the beginning of the phrase, as it constitutes repetition. MSincccc (talk) 12:01, 4 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan (pictured) was the first Indian actress to be a juror at Cannes Film Festival? I had prefer this version. Please do make the required changes @Keivan.f. Regards MSincccc (talk) 08:04, 5 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

can you specify which international supermodel contest aishwarya has won? I am sure you mean the Forbes supermodel contest which she hasn't won. Aishwarya's first peagant contest was in 1994 for Miss India. Forbes has themselves said that aishwarya is too small for the supermodel contest. Here is the linkhttps://www.indiatoday.in/magazine/eyecatchers/story/19941231-aishwarya-rai-too-tiny-for-fords-supermodel-contest-says-dominique-caffin-810079-1994-12-30.
